Ana Rita Bento got her master degree in Biomedical Engineering, with specialisation in Neurosciences at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of University of Coimbra, in 2009. During that time, she worked as a researcher at the Centre for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC), in the field of Neurogenesis and Brain Repair. In 2012, Ana Rita moved to Porto to start her PhD at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto. During her PhD, she worked at the NanoBiomaterials for Targeted Therapies group at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3s) and at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (INEB), University of Porto. Ana Rita worked as a Junior Researcher at the Cell and Differentiation group at the Institute of Biomedicine (iBiMED), University of Aveiro, Portugal.
