Catarina Marques Quintans is Auxiliary Researcher at Laboratório de Instrumentação e Física Experimental de Partículas (LIP) since May 2006 . She is Principal Investigator coordinating the LIP group at the COMPASS and AMBER Collaborations from CERN since June 2017. She completed the PhD in Physics in 2002/11/06, degree attributed by the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, Instituto Superior Técnico (UL/IST), with a thesis on the in-medium modifications of vector mesons produced in heavy ion collisions at the NA50 experiment at CERN. She published 118 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals as co-author, and 15 conference proceeding papers as main author. Co-supervised one PhD thesis, defended in July 2016 at IST/UL; one Masters thesis, defended in November 2022 at IST/UL; and four graduation theses (dissertazione di Laurea Fisica) from the Turin University, Italy. She was the main responsible for the COMPASS Detector Control System, from 2003 to 2009. Member of the COMPASS Collaboration Board, the decisions body of the Collaboration, since March 2017. Member of the COMPASS Publication Committee from November 2018 to November 2022. Coordinator of the COMPASS Drell-Yan physics analyses group since June 2015. Member of the AMBER Collaboration Board since 2020. Co-coordinator of the AMBER Drell-Yan physics analyses group in 2023. Member of the Drafting Committee for the AMBER scientific proposals. She worked in the Drell-Yan simulations used in the preparation of the COMPASS-II proposal. She is involved in several Drell-Yan and J/psi analyses of COMPASS data, and in the measurement of antiproton production cross section in proton on helium collisions from AMBER data. These analyses provide experimental input to (transverse momentum dependent) PDF extractions, relevant to the understanding of nucleon and pion partonic structure. She is a member of the FAIR Expert Committee Experiments (ECE) for the PANDA experiment (one of four members), for the FAIR Facility in Darmstadt, Germany, since May 2020. She works in the area of Exact Sciences/Physics, branch of Particles and Fields. She was a member of Hadronic Physics thematic group, and a member of the Infrastructures thematic group, for the Long Range Plan 2024 of NuPECC (Nuclear Physics European Collaboration Committee). In her curriculum Ciência Vitae the most frequent terms in the context of scientific and technological output are: Quantum Chromodynamics; Hadron Structure; Spin Physics; Drell-Yan; Quark Gluon Plasma; Detector Control Systems.
