Sule Canberk. Completed the Licenciatura in Medicine in 1999 by Medical faculty of Trakya University, Postgraduate Certificate in Pathology in 2008 by Istanbul Egitim ve Arastirma Hastanesi and Postgraduate Certificate in Cytopathology Fellowship Programme in 2013 by Istanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpasa Tip Fakültesi. Dr. Canberk is a pathologist and cytopathologist and currently she is doing the Doutoramento in Patologia e Genética Molecular by Universidade do Porto Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar. She received her Licenciatura in medicine from Trakya Medical University in Edirne, Turkey (1999). Postgraduate Certificate in Pathology in 2008 by Istanbul Egitim ve Arastirma Hastanesi and Postgraduate Certificate in Cytopathology Fellowship Programme in 2013 by Istanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpasa Tip Fakültesi. During the medical faculty education, she was visiting intern in Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich-Germany. This was followed by residency in surgical pathology and fellowship in Cytopathology. She spent 4 years as an assistant professor in the department of Pathology in Acibadem University. She is a Researcher in Universidade do Porto Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde. Has authored 56 peer reviewed publications in leading pathology and cytopathology journals, and three book chapters; she has delivered numerous lectures, workshops and short courses in international meetings including ICC (International Cytology Congress), ECC (European Cytology Congress), AOTA (Asia and Oceania Thyroid Association), Porto Cancer meetings. In their professional activities interacted with 251 collaborator(s) co-authorship of scientific papers. In his curriculum Ciência Vitae the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural output are: Non-gynecological cytology; Molecular methods; Fine-needle aspiration cytology; Science & Technology .She is dedicated to cytopathology and pathology of thyroid and cytopathology of lung. She had periods of observership in the University of Pennsylvania Cytopathology department in 2012 and 2013. She is a member of a research group “Cancer signalling and metabolism” in, Porto, Portugal, mainly focused on “The genetic basis and phenotypic variation of oncocytic tumours in Thyroid” and continue to work on her thesis project “Diabetes mellitus and oncocytic tumours of thyroid: the mitochondrial connection” that had granted by the national foundation of science and technology (SFRH/BD/147650/2019).
