Ana Maria B. do Rego is a retired Associate Prof. with Habilitation at DEQ/IST, having a collaboration protocol with the Department. Her research work is developed at iBB-BSIRG. The field of work is the modification and characterization of surfaces, specially by XPS and HREELS. A.M.B. do Rego has 225 scientific papers reported on ISI Web of Knowledge, 45 in the last 5 years (e.g. 10.1016/j.micromeso.2017.07.013) and 4 book chapters. She participated in numerous international/national conferences. She (co-)supervised 5 PhD and several MsC theses and numerous PhD students in 3rd cycle units. She was the Portuguese PI in a NATO project (no. 984842) CATALTEX: "Self-Decontaminating Smart Textiles for Chemical Warfare Agents Degradation" (2015-2018), and a team member in a EU FETOPEN project (no. 766894) PEGASUS (2017-2021, still running) and in a Project (CERN/FIS-TEC/0039/2019) where the PI is from UNL, “Melhoria de revestimentos à base de carbono com baixa taxa de eletrões secundários”
