Ana Patricia Tavares Moreira completed her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Escola Superior de Saude do Vale do Sousa in 2011, and received her Msc. in Computer Engineering and Medical Instrumentation at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (2013). She has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minho since 2019 with titled: "Development of biosensor integrated into dye sensitized solar cells for measuring cancer biomarker". In 2018, I attended the INTERNATIONAL Bath Electrochemistry WINTER SCHOOL in the UK, where I furthered my knowledge in electrochemical techniques. In 2020, She began my post-doc under the project MINDGAP/FET-Open/H2020. In this, She was developing disruptive technology with plastic antibodies to EVs sensing and pre-concentration, deriving from brain cells. Additionally, She also compared these assays with Elisa's assays and protein quantification (Bradford assay or Micro BCATM Protein Assay) using the microplate reader in the visible spectrum. From August of 2022 until now, she is a post-doc in project "Thermaltrace - Development of intelligent packaging for continuous temperature monitoring of sensitive liquid beverages". Ana P. Tavares Moreira published 22 papers in international journals in electrochemical/sensor categories, classified in the first quartile (Q1) and second quartile (Q2) (e.g. Biosensors and Bioelectronics). Moreover, these papers had an impact factor ranging from 3.5 and 10.2, and more than 250 citations. She has 3 patent registered (EP3708360A1; PT108905A;PT116080A) and has participated in 21 scientific meetings. Ana P.M. Tavares has already co-supervised 1 Master's thesis , 2 Degree Project and she is also involved in the co-supervision of 8 students. Ana has received 2 academic distinctions for her work. She works in the areas of Medical Biotechnology with emphasis on self-powered devices, developing electrochemical biosensors integrated in solar cells using molecular imprinting technology and nanomaterials. In addition, she also has experience in biosensors based on molecularly-imprinted polymers to remove antibiotics from water by using HPLC-UV/Vis for quantification of biomolecules. Amongst her several skills and expertise include electrochemistry (electrochemical spectroscopy impedance and voltammetry techniques), dye-sensitized solar cells and electrochromic cells. She also has knowledge in some characterization techniques such as thermogravimetry (TG), Fourier-Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-Vis spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
