Aldo Boccaccini. Completed the Doktor (PhD) in Materials Science in 1994 by Rheinisch Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen and Licence in Nuclear Engineering in 1987 by Instituto Balseiro. He is Full Professor in Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany and Visiting Professor at Imperial College, London. He has published more than 1000 scientific articles in journals, and has received numerous awards and/or honors.
