I am a dedicated computational biologist specializing in drug discovery and antiviral research, on the verge of completing my PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto, in collaboration with Swansea University, Cardiff University and the Oslo University Hospital. My doctoral research focused on drug discovery against SARS-CoV-2, with expertise in molecular docking, virtual screening, viral infection, and cell-based antiviral assays. The main outcome of my research was the identification of a compound with nanomolar activity, and four publications in international peer-reviewed indexed journals of high impact factor. I completed the master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences on 2018, for which I received a merit scholarship as the top student in my final year, and a post-grad degree in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in 2022. Regarding my professional experience, I have worked as a Pharmacist (7 months, 2019) and as a Quality Control Laboratory Trainee at BIAL (1 year, 2020). The COVID-19 pandemic gave me the opportunity to enrol in a PhD project focused on drug discovery and virology, during which I was awarded an EEA/Norway grant to further support my research. I am a professional driven by curiosity, with a passion for science and innovation, committed to advancing research and addressing global health challenges through cutting-edge technologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and creative problem-solving. I am currently seeking new opportunities to advance my career in computational biology, particularly in drug discovery, where I can contribute to innovative solutions and scientific progress
