Professor Bradley Eyre is the foundation Director of the Centre for Coastal Biogeochemistry at Southern Cross University with
approx. 40 staff and students and with an annual research budget of around AUS$ 3M. He is an internationally recognised expert
in biogeochemistry, who focusses mostly on the flow of carbon and nitrogen through the earth system. Professor Eyre works
on issues such as eutrophication, climate change, ocean acidification, and greenhouse gases in aquatic system including estuaries,
mangroves, seagrasses and coral reefs, and employs a variety of research approaches, such as stable isotopes measurements,
ecosystem stimulation modeling, as well as in-situ process measurements and experimental manipulations, for instance using
benthic chambers to measure sediment dissolution at coral reefs around the globe. The latter work has highlighted the issue
of carbonate sediment dissolution due to ocean acidification and its significance for the survival or coral reefs. He has
published 194 articles in Scopus listed journals, including lead author publications in top-ranking international journals
such as Science, Nature Climate Change, and Science Advances and he authored/co-authored 11 books/book chapters. Prof Eyre
has a google scholar H-index of 53, has over 7820 citations, has attracted over AUS$ 25M in funding and has mentored 21 early-
and mid-career researchers and supervised 32 PhD students. Full CV available as PDF under: https://tinyurl.com/yage9hl9
