Inês Ribeiro is PhD student at MARETEC at Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. She is currently working with SILVANUS Project, particularly in the context of wildfire management through the implementation and monitoring of sustainable grazing practices. From 2018 to 2022, she worked with GO-SILVPAST Project in the cost-efficient implementation of silvo-pastoral mosaics of Quercus pyrenaica and with the GRAZELIFE Project, in the Coa Valley region, on improving the implementation of different grazing models, by domestic and semi-wild herbivores, to identify cost-effective means to promote landscape and nature conservation. She was part of the team of the LIFE Food&Biodiversity Project, where her main research activity focus was on improving biodiversity in farmland systems and creating informative contents on biodiversity and agriculture (guidelines and factsheets). She also worked in the ECOPOTENTIAL Project (Horizon2020) on how biodiversity responds to changes in the structure of agro-forest systems in Mediterranean woodlands. Her MSc research was included in the LIFE MED-WOLF Project - Good Practices for Wolf Conservation in Mediterranean Regions and focused on the human dimensions of wildlife, more specifically the public opinion towards the Iberian Wolf and management practices for its conservation. She published a scientific paper and has collaborated in several other publications. She is also interest in the trade-offs between biodiversity conservation management practices and ecosystem services. In 2015, she was part of the Transbasin - Transboundary Water Basin Management Project, with the main goal being the characterization of the major Ecosystem Services and the habitat quality of the Jordan River Valley in Jordan. She contributed to other projects in Ce3C - Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes, of the Faculty of Sciences of University of Lisbon, such as the ADAPT FOR CHANGE and GREEN SURGE Projects. Inês participated, as well, in various Workshops and courses to improve her knowledge in Conservation Biology and the Environmental management field.
