2019/07/21 - 2019/09/30 Coordination of the underwater litter collection to rehabilitate seahorse habitat under the project entitled “Plastic Free Ria Formosa” promoted by AECO (Associação para o Estudo e Conservação dos Oceanos) and in cooperation with CCMAR's Scientific Dive Center. The project's goal was to perform several cleaning activities both in coastal and underwater areas, in the vicinity of a small fishing village, to improve habitat quality for seahorses. 2015/07/11 - 2015/08/31 Implementation of a plan of translocation of seahorses (Hippocampus guttulatus and Hippocampus hippocampus) in 2 areas of intervention of dredging activities in the Ria Formosa lagoon. This plan included scientific diving for seahorse population census, seahorse capture, transportation and release. This intervention aimed to protect a seahorse population from the effects of dredging for main channel maintenance. All tasks were performed in the Ria Formosa lagoon.
