Michael Gasik. M.Sc. (Diploma Eng. with Honour) in Electrometallurgy in 1983 by National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine and Cand. Techn. Sci. Techn. in powder metallurgy and composite materials in 2000 by Metallurgy and Materials Science RAN Institute A A Bajkova, MIchael Gasik is recently a Full Professor of Aalto University, School of Chemical Engineering in Espoo, Finland. He is additionally Invited Coordinator Researcher in Universidade do Minho Centro de Sistemas Microeletromecânicos (CMEMS). Published 131 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 130 articles in conference proceedings. Has 15 books and book chapters and about 70 other publications and patents. Has received 8 awards and/or honors. Works in the area(s) of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Materials Engineering, Medical Biotechnology (Biomaterials), Chemical Sciences and Engineering and Technology and Biomedical Engineering. In their professional activities interacted with 129 collaborator(s) co-authorship of scientific papers. He has supervised 16 doctorate theses; 36 Master Theses and 16 B.Sc. Theses. He recently acts also as the Head of the M.Sc. major study program (Aalto University, School of Chemical Engineering); Manager of “AllWell” students wellbeing quality program and as a Member of the Academic Council, Aalto University, School of Chemical Engineering. He has received professional credits in orthopaedics (University of Bristol, UK, 2015, and via Bavarian State Chamber of Physicians - Bayerishe Landesärtzekammer, Munich, 2017). His reviewer work comprises EU framework programs, Brussels (1993-), REA Research for the Benefits of SMEs (2010-2015), Marie Curie Actions (2012-2014), ERANET (2009-2014), CleanSky Joint Undertaking (2011-2013); as well as national foundations in Portugal, Spain, Estonia, Cyprus, Luxembourg.
