I, Ângela Marisa Cardoso Fernandes am a psychotherapist and a forensic expert (risk and needs assessment; rehabilitation and intervention programmes; forensic evaluation). I have a graduate in psychology, holding a master's degree in Psychology and a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho, Portugal. My PhD thesis was on "Human trafficking in Portugal: From perceptions to victims' support". Before my PhD, I worked in social reintegration and community intervention. ¿At the moment I am an Assistant Professor and the Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinator for Criminology and Psychology, of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the University Fernando Pessoa. At the University of Minho, I was part of the Research Group in Psychological Evaluation and in the Research Unit Victims, Offenders and Justice System of the School of Psychology. Within IPS I was a consultant, senior researcher and the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Portfolio Coordinator, where I applied my expertise in designing, creating, implementing and evaluating intervention programmes (using evidence-based approaches) with the objective of deploying a wide range of interventions to achieve and improve ex-offenders reintegration. I am a Certified Psychologist, credited by the Portuguese Psychology Association. In addition, I have experience in collaborating with research teams on various projects: psychological assessment, stalking, sexual abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, the use of virtual reality in psychology, and as a researcher in the field of victimology. I am a dynamic, efficient, and reliable professional in the field of crime analysis (context, offenders and victims), with international practice in quantitative and qualitative research, project management and networking. I am the author and coauthor of publications at the national and international levels in the area of Victimology, with a special focus on human trafficking. Main developed tasks and Duties - Design, development, research, management, and implementation of innovative projects in the field of criminal justice (prison management, law enforcement and criminal justice staff training). Conceptualization, design, and management of EU/EC-funded projects (Erasmus+, DG Justice, Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme). The organisation of (inter)national conferences and seminars. Trainer/speaker in (inter)national conferences, seminars, and training courses (in related areas of forensic psychology, victimology, young and adult offenders, treatment programmes, sexual violence, human trafficking, human smuggling, stalking, domestic and intimate partner violence, among other justice-related themes)
