My academic and research background comprise the following. Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in 2004. PhD from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (2013). Master in Management and Financial Management of Companies in 2007 and Industrial Innovation and Process Optimization in 2010, both from the Universidade de Vigo. International postdoc experience (Universidade de Aveiro, University of West Bohemia, Univesity College of Dublin and University Federico II. My scientific contributions include the publication of 47 research articles in international scientific Scopus journals (27 in JCR journals). Some other works were presented at national/international conferences and published as book chapters (CRC Press, De Gruyter, Elsevier, Springer and Woodhead Publishing). Most of them elaborated through international collaborations. I presented both review and experimental studies around important topics such as machining, sustainable manufacturing and additive manufacturing. Recently, I'm specially interest disruptive technologies and the way they are being exploited in manufacturing. Most of these works were leaded by me in terms of generating the reseach hypothesis and experimental design. I also assumed the corresponding role in most of my documents. The generated knowledge received attention from the research community as shown by the received citations (h-index: 18/15, Google Scholar/Scopus; citations: 1129/838, Google Scholar/Scopus). Contributing to society is also an important issue. Recently, I focused a part of my work in editing international books gathering a bunch of renowed international scholars in works as "Machining of light alloys: aluminium, titanium, and magnesium" (CRC PRESS, 2018), "Enabling technologies for the successful deployment of Industry 4.0" (CRC PRESS, 2020) and "Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence with Industrial Applications. From Big Data to Small Data" (Springer, 2022). I also wrote the "Aerospace and digitalization. A transformation through key Industry 4.0 technologies" book (Springer, 2021), which I presented in general media (DUVI, La Región, La Voz de Galicia). I'm involved in the "Galicia 2030: Unha dixitalización 4.0 para unha sociedade 5.0" (Consello Económico e Social de Galicia) in which I try to contribute with my knowledge in Industry 4.0 to the development of the industry and economy of Galicia. My teaching involvement started with the collaboration with the Master's Degree in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia) (2014-2018) for which I co-supervised four TFMs and one PFG. Assistant Professor Doctor of the University of Jaén in the Department of Mechanical and Mining Engineering, area of Manufacturing Processes between 2017 and 2020. Direction of training course "Construction and Sustainable Manufacturing. Life Cycle Analysis" (1st edition) - University of Jaén. 5 directed TFGs and 5 co-directed (U. Jaén). I served as supervisor for six training programs for undergraduate students for carrying out different tasks. Two of these students were involved in researching for the "Unveiling the blockhain potential for the future of manufacturing: multipuropose blockchain network". I served also as coordination of student exchange programs with two universities in Brazil (Centro federal de educación tecnológica Celso suckow da Fonseca and Universidad Federal de Viços) and one in Austria (University of Applied Sciences Kufstein). Since 2020 Assistant Professor PhD at the University of Vigo in the School of Aeronautical and Space Engineering. I already cosupervised one final degree disertation and I'm currently involved in seven student's dissertations as supervisor or cosupervisor, and two training programs at the Laboratorio Oficial de Metrología de Galicia. I also serve as reviewer for several journals (146 verified reviews according to Publons since 2014).
