I had been post graduated in Physics with Applied Spectroscopy and Condensed Matter Physics as specializations. Later in December 2010, I acquired Ph.D. in Physics at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India with a prestigious Research Fellowship for meritorious students (RFSMS)¿ granted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India. After the PhD, I worked as Research Associate (RA) granted by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India till December 2011. From January 2012, I joined University of Aveiro (UA) as Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) with ref. no. SFRH/BPD/75857/2011 after being selected in the highly prestigious FCT PDF selection in the topic entitled ¿Preparation and characterization of rare earth doped glass-ceramics for optical device application. Worked till the total duration of the PDF with the i3N team of Department of Physics. I continued my research as PDF again till December 2018 in i3N project and extension of FCT PDF. From January 2019, I am working as investigator (Level 1) obtained through DL57 Norma Transitoria with contract between FCT and UA. During the research tenure at UA, I am in collaboration with different laboratories within UA, different universities in Portugal and different countries. I am an effective team member in "Labopto" project during 2013-2015. I am responsible for winning of two Indo-Portuguese bilateral projects in 2017 where I am the member in the team. By my own I had won one ECIU mobility project in 2022 and in 2023 I own France-Portuguese bilateral project on the development of rare earth doped chalcogenide glasses. I am the author of 4 book chapters, 7 conference papers, 70 SCI papers (20 % as being main author). I am also responsible and working for a research service for the RiverD International, Netherlands company through UA for the supply of reference glasses for Raman Instruments. Association member as life time of LASSI and REAI, India. Conference Scientific committee member of NTRIA. Evaluation committee member of books, participated and presented the research work in 29 conferences, jury member of academic degrees, presented 3 keynote presentations, 3 invited presentations and 3 oral presentations in international conferences and webinars respectively. Moreover I had organized a workshop on Optical materials in June 2022 as part of ICNMSME-2022 conference and initiated an iterative conference series called International Conference On Spectroscopy In Materials Science (http://icosims.web.ua.pt/) at UA. I had supervised one student and mentored 13 students for their bachelors, masters and Ph.D. thesis and few more are working for academic degrees. I was awarded with four research awards. Attended several workshops and schools. At UA apart from research activities, I am also responsible for the theoretical and practical teaching of the module "Amorphous Materials: Glass, Processing, Microstructure, Properties and Applications" referring to the course "Materials Development and Characterization" of the 4th year of the Integrated Masters in Physical Engineering for the past 4 years. Collaborated with several countries including Spain, Brazil, Lithuania, Jordan, Poland, India, France, Finland, etc. Recognized as reviewer of atleast 15 scientific journals from Elsevier, Springer, MDPI, etc. I have been awarded as outstanding reviewer in 3 of the Elsevier journals. Currently acting as a Guest Editor of a special issue in Applied Science journal (MDPI). I attained a h-index of 24 (scopus and google), i10 index of 40 (google) with around 1900 total citations till date. I am with profound knowledge on Solid State Lightening, Luminescence Materials Synthesis and Characterization, Nanotechnology, Photonics Luminescence based sensors and also has ability to handle several scientific instruments concerning the area of his specialization. Present research also include on chalcogenide glasses for optical applications due to recent project sanctioned.
