Verónica Alexandra Seixas Gomes. Completed the PhD in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution in December 2018 by University of Porto Faculty of Sciences, MSC in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution in 2010 by University of Porto Faculty of Sciences, Licentiate in Biology - Complementary Formation in Biological Sciences in 2008 by University of Porto Faculty of Sciences. Published 21 articles. She has received 1 distinction. In their professional activities interacted with several collaborators. She also has participated in several national and international congresses and has supervised 9 undergraduate students in their internship and is now co-supervisor of a MSc student. She worked from March 2013 until September 2014 at the National Museum of Natural History, Madrid, Spain, with Miguel B. Araújo, recognised as one of the world leaders in the study of climate change effects on biodiversity. During her PhD, she did two short stays at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris to collaborate with Anthony Herrel: a world-leading expert in functional morphology and biomechanics. She was a postdoctoral researcher in the project GSRESPONSE: "A reptile model and 3600 m of altitudinal gradient to infer the ectotherm responses to global change in Portugal" at CIBIO/UP from May 2019 to May 2020. From December 2020 to May 2021 she was a postdoctoral researcher in the project "Origin and maintenance of color polymorphisms: An integrative approach combining Genomics, Behavior and a Population study" at CIBIO/UP. In October 2021 I won a research technician position in the project “Analysis of multiple phenotype and performance traits linked with range expansion in the European leaf-toed gecko (Euleptes europaea)” at Università dell'Aquila, Italy.
