Maria Beatriz Silva holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon (2008). She is currently an associate professor with Habilitation (2023) at the Manufacturing and Industrial Management unit of the Mechanical Engineering Department of IST. She is an integrated member of the Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics (LAETA). Her scientific activity covers the areas of manufacturing, formability limits of materials and the experimental and numerical analysis of forming processes.
