Daniel Asmus is a scientist with PhD in physics, working in the field of extragalactic Astronomy. He is an expert observer with focus on high angular resolution infrared observations of nearby active galactic nuclei. He has published more than 50 articles in this field and given several invited talks at international conferences. He is (co-)supervising PhD students, giving lectures about observation and data analysis tools in astronomy. Finally, he is an experienced programmer with his python code and astronomical data being available online.
