Cornelia Klose is interested in understanding the molecular and biochemical mechanisms of light and temperature perception in plants, namely phytochrome thermal reversion. Since 2019, she became a group leader with Prof. Dr. Andreas Hiltbrunner at the University of Freiburg. Cornelia was awarded a Ph.D. in 2011 from the University of Freiburg, being a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Freiburg from 2011 to 2019. In total, she received 3 fellowships and 1 grant award from the University of Freiburg and the Joachim-Herz Foundation. She has a strong multidisciplinary background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and chemistry. Overall, she has a total of 16 peer-reviewed published papers in top journals including Science, Nature Communications, Nature Plants, PNAS, and New Phytologist, with a total of 1276 citations and h-index of 12 (SCOPUS). She was selected for 5 oral presentations at international congresses. She is also a reviewer for the Plant Physiology Journal, Front. Plant Sci., Nat. Commun., PPB, and New Phytol.
