I graduated in Materials Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico - Universidade de Lisboa (IST-UL), Lisbon, Portugal, 2017 and obtained my PhD in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in October 2022. My successful master's thesis on microencapsulation of isocyanate opened a path into My Ph.D. research, which was focused on corrosion control and novel coating technologies by the development of smart coatings for corrosion protection of carbon steel by introducing encapsulated self-healing agents and synthesizing and functionalized nanoparticles to epoxy and polyolefin-based coatings. In November 2022, I joined C5 Lab -Sustainable Construction Association, where my scientific research interest focuses on carbon capture, utilization (CCU), and carbonation control in novel blended types of cement. In June 2023, I proposed a project entitled "Smart Carbonation Rate Cement” to develop additives to tune the carbonation rate of blended cement, for which I am the main researcher and project manager. I am also a member of the Technology Platform on Microencapsulation and Immobilization, which aims to provide customized solutions for enabling active materials and advanced products. I have been a volunteer reviewer of Progress in Organic Coatings Journal since 2019. I also have over 17 years of experience in R&D project management, quality management, risk assessment, and implementation of quality standards in industry

I had been the member and secretary of the committee.
