Jose Silva Ramalho (JSR) earned his PhD in Molecular Genetics in 2001 from the Imperial College Division of Molecular Biosciences. Currently, Jose serves as the Principal Investigator/senior scientist in the "Proteostasis and Intercellular Communication" group (Group Leader: Paulo Pereira) at Nova Medical School. His pivotal role involves the development and application of molecular and genetic tools to advance the group's research objectives. Additionally, Jose has supervised and co- supervised several PhD and Master's students within this group, contributing significantly to their academic and research development. Jose’s scholarly contributions include authoring over 70 publications, reflecting extensive national and international collaborations that underscore his prominence in the scientific community. Beyond his academic achievements, Jose has demonstrated a keen entrepreneurial spirit. In 2008, production company located in central Portugal. The company has garnered various prizes and awards, attesting to its innovation and impact. The antibodies developed by SICGEN have been instrumental in numerous high-impact research studies, further establishing Jose's commitment to advancing scientific inquiry and developing innovative applications.
