Omar As Saadi was awarded his MSc in Structural Engineering in 2020 from the Department of Engineering, University of Leeds, United Kingdom. In 2021, he started his P.h.D in Civil Engineering at the Department of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal. Member of the ViBEST at FEUP and motivated in development of methodology of identifying damage in suspenders of Suspension Bridges. Strong communicator, organized, adaptable and creative thinker. Special expertise in SAP2000, Abaqus and Robot Structural Analysis Software.

2022/09/05 - 2023/02/10 The main objective of the work is to identify experimentally natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping ratio of a transmission line. The work was divided into two main parts. First, evaluate modal identification without any damage on the cable and after that perform damage for a strand and reperform the experiment again. Secondly, estimate the fatigue life of the transmission line.
