Is, since 2019, Appointed Researcher (contract) at NOVA FCSH, after 6 years as a Postdoctoral Fellow (IELT, NOVA FCSH). Integrated at CETAPS since 2024. RESEARCH INTERESTS Area of specialization The nineteenth century, especially the interrelations between Victorian literature, science and art; Evolutionary theories of sexuality; Gender studies, in particular masculinity; Human evolution and adaptation; Darwinism; Actual interests Intersections between literature, culture and science; Application of phylogenetic methodologies to cross-cultural data; Utopian studies; Folktale studies; Evolutionary readings of literature; Morality; Emotion; biosignals and experimental approaches to literature. 2019 - Atual Street Emotions - Photography Exhibition on emotions comparing NY/Lisbon contexts. I spent October 2018 in NY working n the themes of emotion and morality at CUNY and decided to organise a photo exhibition entitled "Street Emotions". The question I asked people was simple yet deep: "How do you feel?". The replies were telling and addictive.
