João Pedro Ramos is a PhD student in Public Health, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, with a Masters Degree in Psychology (specialization in Deviant Behavior and Justice), by the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto. His a member of the Epidemiology of Mycobacteria Infection, HIV, and other sexually transmitted infections lab at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto and of the Centre of Deviant Behavior Scientes at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto. It was at ISPUP that he started working in the field of infectious diseases, specifically tuberculosis in different projects, particularly in UNITE4TB and in the mentoring of internships in Pulmonology . Since 2023 he is an Invited Assistant at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Porto, in the curricular unit of Epidemiology and Public Health. His research interests lie in Social Epidemiology, Citizen Science, Community Based Participatory Research, Key and Vulnerable Populations, and Tuberculosis.
