Ana Matos has completed the Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry in July of 2019 by Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Ciências and the Master in Biochemistry by Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Ciências in March of 2022. Her curricular research training was held at the Neuroinflammation, Signaling and Neuroregeneration Lab coordinated by Professor Dora Brites, at iMed, Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon and developed under the project FCT- PTDC/MED-NEU/31395/2017. She also concluded a Post-Graduate Course on Laboratory Animal Science in 2021/09/24 by Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Farmácia. Ana has technical control over laboratorial techniques and equipment, namely RT-qPCR, Immunocytochemistry, Fluorescence Microscopy, Western Blot, Transfection (modulation of microRNAs), maintenance of iPSC cultures, primary cell cultures and tissue from mice spinal cord models and basic knowledge on Bioinformatics software (ImageJ, iBright and GraphPad). Works in the area of Natural sciences within Biological Sciences with emphasis on Biochemistry. Ana attended an online course from the Coursera platform by the University of Michigan on Human Neuroanatomy. In her curriculum Ciência Vitae, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural output are: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis; Neuroscience and Molecular Biology. Ana has a certificate of Proficiency in English by the University of Cambridge, concluded the 3rd grade of violin and musical training by Física Music Academy associated with the National Music Academy and 5 years of piano training by Canoa Music School. She also concluded the 4th level of horse riding and is an amateur photographer with basic knowledge on Photoshop editing software.
