Yuriy Vygranenko received a university degree in physics (1985), and PhD in physics&mathematics (1997) by the Chernivtsi National University, Ukraine. Presently he is a contracted researcher at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, UNINOVA, Instituto de Desenvolvimento de Novas Tecnologias, Portugal. His research activity is focused on thin-film technology, optoelectronics, and neuromorphic computing. His research interests are related to thin-film devices and photonic circuits, in particular, application of materials with nonvolatile physical states to optical memristors. He has published 78 articles in journals, 57 conference proceedings, and has 10 US patents registered.
