Felipe Lopes Bacellar is a Bioprocesses and Biotecnology Enginneer, on an ongoing Doctoral programme in Biosciences and researcher at the Bioelectronics & Bioenergy Research Lab. which is a member of the Associated Laboratory TERRA and CFE-Centre for Functional Ecology, Department of Life Sciences of the University of Coimbra. Driven by strategic development of sustainable projects, his professional experience relates to enzyme production for industrial applications and in designing reactors for methane production and energy generation, in cost-effective processes and byproducts destination. His research is focused on the use of microelectrode arrays (MEAs) for characterizing the electrical signals of cell cohorts and in new ways to generate electricity from biotransformation.
