Fernando Bento received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electric and Computer Engineering from University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, in 2014, 2016 and 2022, respectively. Currently, he is a PhD Researcher at CISE - Electromechatronic Systems Research Centre, and also Invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, University of Beira Interior. He has co-authored 1 book chapter, and published 15 papers in high impact factor journals, as well as 30 communications in highly renown conference proceedings. He is the Chair of the 'Fault Diagnosis and Fault Tolerance Subcommittee' of the IEEE IES Power Electronics Technical Committee (PETC). His scientific research activities focus on energy efficiency analysis, fault diagnosis, fault tolerance, and predictive control of power electronics converters, namely DC-DC converters.
