Highly-motivated biotechnologist passionate about the production, characterization and application of products of microbial origin. Proficient in the production of polymers (medium-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoates (mcl-PHAs) and short-chain-length polyhydroxyalkanoates (scl-PHAs)), polysaccharides (chitin-glucan complex (CGC) and bacterial cellulose) and sugar alcohols (xylitol). Adept at developing polymeric structures for biomedical applications using techniques for the fabrication of films, porous films and fibres. Practiced in animal cell culture intended for tissue reconstitution.
