António Alberto Santos Correia. PhD in Civil Engineering and Associate Professor at the University of Coimbra, member of the Research Centre on Chemical Engineering and Renewable Resources for Sustainability (CERES) and collaborates with the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE); https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3260-8729; specialization in sustainable materials and solutions for engineering problems (binders, nanotechnology), ground improvement and environmental problems (remediation of contaminated soils); geotechnical expert in 18 national projects ranging from dams, embankments to roads and industrial infrastructures; more than 150 scientific publications, 38 of which in international journals with peer review (H-index of 14, WoS, 09-April-2024); author of 1 book chapter; editor of 11 books and author of 2 theses; supervision of 2 PhD theses (on-going) and 33 MSc theses; General-Secretary of the Board of the Portuguese Commission of Ground Improvement (CPMT) and Portuguese Delegate on the International Technical Committee TC211-Ground Improvement; Member of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) - TC 189 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) TC 221; UC representative at the cluster Smart Waste Portugal; Ambassador of the Alliance Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Portugal - United Nations Global Compact Network; Geotechnical Specialist and Senior Fellow of the Portuguese Institution of Engineers. António Correia is Coordinator of the Degree in Environmental Engineering and Vice-coordinator of the Master in Environmental Engineering of the UC, since 13-Dec-2023; and he was Vice-coordinator of the Master in Civil Engineering degree of the UC (Dec/2019-Nov/2021). He is Associate Editor and member of the Editorial Board of the international journal Soils and Rocks and a frequent reviewer for some international journals: Geotextiles & Geomembranes; Construction & Building Materials; Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Engineering; Soils & Rocks; Environmental and Civil Engineering; Archives of Agronomy and Soil Science; Renewable Materials, among other.
