Graduated in Physical Education from Centro Universitário Metodista in 2006, with a specialization in Health and Sports Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in 2009. She participated in the Extension and Management Program for Continuing Education Activities (PEGA), focusing on health and memory, at the Memory Center of PUCRS in 2015 and 2018. She earned a Master's degree in Biomedical Gerontology at PUCRS in 2018. She was a student representative of the Brazilian Society for Behavioral Neuroscience from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, she completed her PhD in Translational Neuroscience in the Translational Neuroscience Postgraduate Program (PGNET) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Currently, she works as a substitute high school and technical school teacher at Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense and is a postdoctoral researcher at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS).

2024/04/25 The experience of fear is an example of what was explored in a study conducted by the Postgraduate Program in Translational Neuroscience at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Derived from the doctoral thesis of neuroscientist Clarissa Penha Farias, the article, published in the journal Behavioral Brain Research, investigated the differences in the formation of extinction memory in Wistar rats accompanied by another animal (social support). 2019/06/27 Dysfunctional fear can cause anxiety, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Therefore, the extinction of fear memory is being researched. The study proved that test subjects who were exposed to the same situation that caused fear ended up erasing that memory when they were accompanied by another familiar test subject. This would be a way of deprogramming this fear and, therefore, eliminating a certain dysfunction. G1 - RBSTV
