Gabriela Sampaio Ribeiro completed her Master's in Biomedical Research on December 21, 2021, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra, and obtained her Bachelor's in Biology on June 14, 2019, at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra. She works in the areas of Natural Sciences with a focus on Biology and in Medical Sciences and Health with an emphasis on Biomedical Research. She has expertise in various techniques of cellular and molecular biology, including the establishment of primary cultures, cell line culture, automatic and column-based nucleic acid extraction, and subsequent quantification. She is skilled in techniques such as Western blot and PCR and has training in animal experimentation, certified by DGAV, the National Authority for Regulation of Animal Research. She collaborated on various research projects in the field of immunology related to different pathologies at the Flow Cytometry Functional Unit of the Hospital and University Center of Coimbra (CHUC) and provided services to ENZIFARMA - Diagnóstica e Farmacêutica, S.A., working in the Biobank of the Academic Clinical Center of Coimbra (CHUC-UC). Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in the Health Sciences Ph.D. program at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra, and holds a scholarship from FCT (UI/BD/154407/2022).
