Efigénio Rebelo

Efigénio da Luz Rebelo, Dean of the School of Economics, University of Algarve, is Full Professor of Quantitative Methods Applied to Economics & Business. PhD holder in Economic Science, specialized in Econometrics, he also holds both an MA in Econometrics by the School of Economics of the University of Manchester and an MSc in Mathematical Models Applied to Economics and Business by the University of Lisbon. Professor Rebelo was, for a long period of time, an integrated researcher in CIEO - Centre for Spatial and Organizational Dynamics. Recently, he became an invited member of CEFAGE - the Center for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics. His publications are mainly in the fields of theoretical econometrics and applied statistics in general. Elected six times as Dean of his School, recently Professor Rebelo stepped down as Director of the PhD Program in Economic and Management Sciences. In different periods in time, he has also been the President of the two existing committees in his School of Economics: The Scientific Committee and the Pedagogical Committee. At University level, he was elected twice as member of the General Council. More recently, Professor Rebelo became a member of the Directive Board of the Regional Operational Program for the Algarve, and a member of the National Economic and Social Council.
