Viviana Fernández Marcial. My current position is coordinator of the Research Management and Communication Science Hub(REMA) at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Universidade do Porto since September 2022. My professional category is principal researcher. I am a university researcher and professor in information science since 1997. I am an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Information Science of the University of A Coruña (Spain) since 2012. My Ph.D. in Library and Information Science is from the University Carlos III of Madrid. My research largely involves scientific communication, information behavior, marketing of information services, and information management. The research output included more than 80 research published papers. I have taken part in 16 research projects or contracts, one of them supported by FCT. I have been a principal in the project Visibility of the Galician Research, technology, and innovative system; design of unique access to Knowledge (2009-2011). Recently, my work has focused on knowledge transfer. I co-authored a website to incentivize the digital culture in older people, coordinating two learning-through-service projects focused on the information to the community, and writing some newspaper pieces. I have lectured a wide range of courses teaching at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels in online, b-learning, and face-to-face mode, and more than 30 monographic courses in national and international institutions. I have been a member of scientific and organizing committees in diverse international congresses. I have developed international consultancy activities (i.e. A3ES with 20 evaluation processes from 2013). I have been a referee in several international scientific journals from 2000 to the present. I have experience in university administrative positions (Vice-dean, Coordinator of internships, Mobility coordinator, etc.). Research leading experience comprises some areas including supervisor of various doctoral dissertations, and master and bachelor thesis. My international research and teaching experience comprises some countries, Portugal, Mexico, Brazil, the United States, Italy, Cuba, and others. I joined CITCEM in 2020.
