Dina Batista Pereira

Dina Batista Pereira, holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2013 from University of Beira Interior (UBI), a Master in Management in 2007 from UBI and a degree in Sociologia in 1997 from University of Coimbra. Dina is the Manager of UBIMEDICAL at UBI, incubator for health and life sectors. Among other duties, she is responsible for the creation and scale up of new startups coming from UBI, as well as the organization and management of international projects with other stakeholders from incubators, universities, companies. She collaborates in the teaching activity at UBI: in the Curricular Unit “Project in Biomedical Sciences”, taught in the 1st year of the 2nd cycle in Biomedical Sciences, since the 2018/2019 academic year (12 hours); “Research and Entrepreneurship” within the scope of the curricular units “Monitoring and Assisted Therapeutics” and “Materials and Medical Devices”, of the 1st and 2nd cycle of studies in Bioengineering since 2018/2019 (10 hours); Research and entrepreneurship in the curricular unit ‘Elements of student choice II’ of the 3rd year of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine since 2018/2019 (3 hours); in the Curricular units "- Industrial Property and Open Innovation" (20 hours), ESG_MBA@UBI, in the academic years of 2023/2024 and 2024/2025: Responsible; and "Information Technologies and Systems" (20 hours), MBA@UBI, in the academic years of 2021/2022; and 2022/2023: Responsible; in the Curricular activities of "Microeconomics I", Degree in Economics: Accelerator for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Accelerator (10 hours), in the academic years: 2021/2022; and 2022/2023: Responsible; in the "Business Economics", Marketing Degree: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Accelerator Entrepreneurship and Innovation (10 hours), in the academic years: 2021/2022; and 2022/2023: Responsible; and in the "Portuguese and European Union Economy", Degree in Economics and Management Degree: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Accelerator (10 hours), in the academic years: 2021/2022; and 2022/2023: Responsible. Dina is co-founder and CEO of FastPrinciple, brand name 'NeuroSoV', startup dedicated at developing new drug candidates for Parkinson Disease and other dementias. Dina is Researcher at CEG-IST - Centre for Management Studies /IST-University of Lisbon (since 2013) and NECE- Research Centre in Business Sciences/University of Beira Interior (since 2018) in the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. Dina is member of the EIT Food RIS Council, Mentor of the EIT Health Mentoring and Coaching Network (MCN) and of BGI - Building Global Innovators.
