Martin Beal holds a Doctorate in Behavioural Biology from Instituto Universitário de Ciências Psicológicas Sociais e da Vida, Portugal, a Master's degree in Animal Ecology from Lunds universitet Biologiska institutionen, Sweden, and a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology from Ohio University, USA. With a focus on biology, particularly in the fields of ecology, biodiversity conservation, and marine biology, Martin has published 11 articles in academic journals and has been recognized with 1 award and two graduation honors (Magna Cum Laude). As a PhD Student Fellow, Martin participated in the Marie Curie training project Inspire4Nature. His research interests include bird migration, migratory species, animal movement and tracking, and the science-policy interface. His curriculum vitae highlights his expertise in the subjects of animal tracking, site-based conservation and movement ecology. Martin's experience in the field of biological sciences is reflected in his studies on animal movement and behavior, as well as his contribution to the field of political connectivity of and conservation of migratory animals.
