Ana I. Gonçalves is a FCT Individual Fellow (Junior researcher grant from the Stimulus of Scientific Employment, Individual Support (CEECIND) - 3rd Edition (2020.01157.CEECIND)), at the 3Bs Research Group, University of Minho. Ana holds a PhD in Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells (University of Minho) in collaboration with Prof. Alicia El Haj (Keele University, UK). She obtained her MSc degree in Biological Engineering in 2010 by University of Minho. Ana has worked under 6 National financed projects (with fellowship) being actively involved at the start of a research line at her Institution (Tendon Tissue Engineering). Ana has presented her work in the most important conferences of the field such as TERMIS, EORS, and MagMeet, in which she had active participations such as co-chairing sessions, reviewing abstracts, and being involved in the organization of symposia. She is involved in writing proposals for competitive funding from National and International agencies, such as a recent EC funded Twinning Project - Achilles. She is currently core team member in 3 ongoing projects (ERC CoG MagTendon no. 772817, ERC-PoC-BioCHIPs, and COST ACTION CA22170). Ana was Co-Chair of the 31st Annual Meeting of the European Orthopaedic Research Society (EORS 2023, Porto) and of the Achilles Conferences organized under the scope of the H2020 Twinning Project Achilles (https://achilles.i3bs.eu/). Ana is the Science Communication Coordinator of the COST Action CA22170 (TENET), and was member of the TERMIS-EU Communication and Outreach committee (2021-2023). Ana Gonçalves has been involved in tutoring and mentoring of trainees, MSc and PhD students, and co-supervised a MSc student in Biomedical Engineering from University of Minho. Her latest works have been reported in the Materials Today' news section and IOP Publishing website. She has reviewed publications from 10 different international peer review journals and served as reviewer for the Encyclopedia of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (Academic Press 2019). Ana is Social Media Editor of several scientific meetings/societies. She recently served as referee for the Postdoctoral Fellowship 2023 Call of the European Science Foundation (Research Foundation Flanders). Ana Gonçalves edited 1 Book (in press) and 1 Special Issue (in press), and is currently author of 27 full papers in International referee journals, 10 as first author and 3 as corresponding author, with Q1 score; 9 book chapters, from which 5 as first author, 21 conference articles ISI Web of Science Indexed, 93 communications in international meetings either oral or poster, 4 Invited Talks and 1 Keynote Lecture. She has an h-index of 15 and over 650 citations according to Scopus.
