Designer, educator, and researcher. PhD in Design (Anhembi Morumbi University, São Paulo, Brazil - 2020) with a Doctoral Exchange Scholarship funded by CAPES (Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto, Portugal - 2019), Master in Design (Anhembi Morumbi University, São Paulo, Brazil - 2008), Specialization in Higher Education Didactics (Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo, Brazil - 1994) and Communication and Arts (Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo, Brazil - 2000), Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design with focus on Product Design (Mackenzie Presbyterian University, São Paulo, Brazil - 1991). Currently is Visiting Assistant Professor at University of Beira Interior (Covilhã, Portugal), at Faculty of Arts in Industrial Design Program and at Higher Institute of Educational Sciences of Douro – ISCE Douro, in the Multimedia Technology Programs. And is also Invited Professor at Polytechnic of Porto (Porto, Portugal), at Higher Institute of Engineering (ISEP), in European Project Semester - EPS, with the Design Thinking Module. With over 30 years of teaching and professional experience in the field of Design, including 14 years as coordinator of design programs. Primarily works in product development areas: home appliances, automotive, consumer electronics, packaging, furniture, toys, and graphics. Research interests include Project Methodology, Design Research, Teaching and Learning in Design and Engineering, Inter- and Transdisciplinarity, Active Learning Strategies, Design Thinking, Maker Education and Culture, Digital Fabrication, Fab Labs, etc. Author of 2 books, numerous scientific articles, member of scientific committees, and design award juries.
