Alvise Barbieri

I earned my PhD in geoarcheology (Dr. rer. nat.) at the University of Tübingen in January 2019. My career has been focusing on research (10 peer-reviewed papers, 4 book contributions, 25 presentations at international conferences, 3 invited talks at research institutes) as much as the diffusion of scientific culture (e.g conceptualization and realization of educational products including an affordable 3D-printed microscope for developing countries). Since the defense of my PhD I have been strenghtening my academic independence and maturity, as shown by my international network, ability to conceptualize and write successful grant proposals as PI, secure funding for a total value of 375.974 Euros, manage project finances, hire collaborators, supervise students, publish without my PhD supervisors, teaching in university, and organizing events for academics and general public.
