I am graduated in Biochemistry at School of Sciences, University of Minho in 2018. In 2021, I concluded my Master's in Health Sciences at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS). My thesis dissertation was focused on the role of GSK-3 inhibition in lung homeostasis and injury. This work was published in a scientific journal (doi:10.3390/ijms25021279). From 2016 to 2020 I was a member of a project awarded (IF/00959/2014) in a competitive national call. From 2021 to 2022 I was an external collaborator of the ICVS. During this period, I focused my research interests on lung cell and molecular biology, aiming to contribute to bringing new knowledge that can advance the therapeutic strategies available in lung diseases. During this time I presented a poster orally at an international meeting, which abstract was published in a scientific journal. I am was a co-author of three oral conferences presented in international meetings. I am was a co-author of a published article (doi:10.3390/cells12030402). From 2022 to March 2023 I worked as researcher at Innovation and Development department of Mesosystem S.A. I focused my research on the extraction/purification of natural bioactive compounds from marine sources and by-products from the wine industry for use in cosmetic formulations, in line with the circular economy/industrial symbiosis. In this context, I was a member of an international award-winning project (MOD.PN.FRM.059.PT.V03), I was an internship tutor of two master students, I participated as co-author in four international oral communications, and I wrote a review article (doi:10.3390/ph16040592). I am currently a PhD student at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) where we are focusing on polyphenol-based nanoparticles for targeted therapies of prostate cancer. At moment, I published a review article (doi:10.3390/biomedicines11123140) and I presented five oral communications in national and international conferences.
