Leonardo Mendes e Silva completed his Master's in Biological Engineering in 2015 at Universidade do Algarve, Faculty of Sciences and Technology, and obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanisms of Disease and Regenerative Medicine in 2023 from UAlg/Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, NOVA Medical School.
