Fátima José Mendes Ferreira

Fátima Mendes is a PhD student at Madeira Chemistry Research Centre (CQM) of the University of Madeira, currently awarded with a research grant by the FCT. She graduated the Bachelor's in Biochemistry in 2017 (classification of 14/20) and the Master's in Applied Biochemistry in 2020 (classification 18/20), both by the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Engineering. Currently, she is a member of the Molecular Materials Research Group, and her research focuses on the use of nanomaterials, specifically Dendritic-based nanomaterials and gels for biomedical applications. She is part of the team of 2 European Funded Projects, CQM+(M1420-01-0145-FEDER-000005) and BlueHuman (EAPA_151/2016). She has co-authored 2 papers, attended and presented her work on various national and international conferences. She has also participated as a volunteer on the organization of international conferences and on science dissemination activities.
