João Prada, scholarship PhD student in Agronomic and Forestry Sciences, at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. Master in Agronomic Engineering, with a bachelor in Biology, with a huge passion for nature and its dynamics. Aiming to better understand and create knowledge on how vines interact with their biotic and abiotic factors, the physiological processes related to those interactions, and how they can be optimized, to preserve, increase and potentiate the cultural, economic, and organoleptic value of vines and their products. Currently working on the PhD project entitled "CôaTerroir: Native green solutions for a resilient Côa terroir under the projected climate change", where the objective is to understand how can viticulture in the Côa Valley be affected by climate change, and to find solutions to mitigate those impacts on vineyard production and on its products quality.
