Eduardo Paixão, finished his PhD in prehistoric archeology in 2021/12/15 by Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz Fachbereich Geschichts- und Kulturwissenschaften Completed his Masters in Archeology in 2014 by the University of Algarve Faculty of Human and Social Sciences and Degree in Archeology in 2012 by University of Algarve. He has published 14 articles in specialized journals. It has 7 book chapters. He organized 8 events.. Received 2 distinctions. He participated as a Research Fellow in 4 projects. He works in the areas of Humanities with an emphasis on Archaeology. The main research interests relate to human evolution from the point of view of technological transformations and the exploitation of resources. From a methodological point of view, he is interested in the application of new technologies to archaeology, mainly in the field of 3D analysis, microscopy and the development of controlled experimentation.

  2. The earlier Mousterian in westernmost Iberia: geoarchaeology of Cobrinhos site in the Tejo River terrace staircase of Vila Velha de Ródão (Portugal. Cobrinhos is a Middle Paleolithic site found during the construction of a paper factory, in the winter of 2014, in Vila Velha do Ródão, Central inland Portugal. In this region, the staircase terraces has six steps (T1 to T6), but Paleolithic is only found in the T4, T5 and T6. The T4 is dated of ca. 340 ka to 155 ka, with Acheulean at the basal levels (ca. 340 to 325 ka), later Acheulean at the mi. 2018.
