Tânia Ribeiro Pereira

Tânia Ribeiro Pereira (TRP) is a dedicated scientist and science manager with a strong academic and professional background in Marine, Earth, and Environmental Sciences. She holds a PhD in Marine, Earth, and Environmental Sciences from the University of Algarve, Faculty of Sciences and Technology (2015), a M.Sc. in Marine Biology from the University of Aveiro (2007), and a degree in Applied Biology from the University of Minho (2006). Currently, Dr. Pereira serves as Science and Technology Manager at the Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR), University of Porto. Her work spans a wide range of disciplines, including Earth and Environmental Sciences, Plant Sciences, Ecology, and Marine Biology. TRP has published 13 articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to 1 book section, and organized over 45 scientific events, most of them international, all over Europe in collaboration with local institutions/teams. She has supervised and co-supervised numerous academic works, including 7 M.Sc. dissertations, 1 Ph.D. thesis, one BSc thesis and 1 undergraduate thesis. Her contributions to the scientific community have been recognized with 3 awards. TRP has actively participated in 18 research and development projects, taking on roles such as Invited Scientist (2 projects), Ph.D. Student Fellow (1 project), Junior/Auxiliary Researcher (13 projects), and Science and Technology Manager (3 projects). Her collaborative spirit is evident through her work with 93 co-authors on scientific publications, reflecting her strong network and interdisciplinary approach.
