Orlando Gomes is full professor of Economics at Lisbon Accounting and Business School, Lisbon Polytechnic Institute (ISCAL-IPL) since 2009 (before that, he taught at another school of the Lisbon Polytechnic, the Lisbon School of Media Studies, from 1996 onward). He was president of ISCAL (2018-2022) and, before that, president of the scientific council of ISCAL (2010-2018). He holds a PhD from ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute and undergraduate and master degrees from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management from the Lisbon University (ISEG - UL). Orlando Gomes has published more than 100 research papers in international peer reviewed journals, books, and book chapters, in the areas of macroeconomics, economic growth, and related fields.
