Luis holds a Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering from the Technological University of Havana "José Antonio Echeverría" (UTH), Cuba, where he received a final grade of 4.56 out of 5.00. He then enrolled in the master's program in Mechatronics at the University of Jaén (UJA), Spain. Currently, Luis is enrolled as a PhD student in the Doctoral Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (PDEEC) at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). I Luis has been a lecturer in the subjects: numerical methods and series and differential equations during three years at UTH. During this time he was also actively involved in the Non-Linear Predictive Control research group. Since September 2021, Luis has been working at the CISTER Research Centre on research activities in the areas of Safety Critical Systems, Formal Methods, Security, and Wireless Communications, which are his main interests.
