José Leite concluded his Master's in Bioengineering (2013, FEUP, Porto, Portugal) and his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, with a specialization in protein science and structural biology (2022, ICBAS, Porto, Portugal). Research interests revolve around Molecular Biophysics, with an emphasis on Structural Biology (Macromolecular X-Ray Diffraction), working with proteins, peptides or other structures (e.g. Metal-Organic Frameworks), aiming at uncovering structural mechanisms relevant for overall scientific understanding and/or possible practical applications in health sciences or biotechnology industries. He has also worked as Invited Auxiliary Professor of Biophysics at ICBAS (Porto, Portugal).
