Curriculum Vitae
Vítor Manuel Tavares Teixeira
Vítor Tavares holds a degree in Communication Design (2000) and a Master's in Art and Multimedia (2008) from the Faculty of
Fine Arts at the University of Porto. At the same Faculty, attended a PhD in Art and Design (completing only curricular units).
In 2022, he completed public exams at the Polytechnic Institute of Maia, earning the title of Specialist in Audiovisuals and
Media Production.
With 16 years of professional experience in Advertising and Communication Agencies, Tavares is also the founder and creator
of 305DESIGN®, a company with 24 years of successful operation. In his current professional and academic roles, he combines
his position as Creative Director at the Instituto Técnico de Inovação with teaching in higher education, a role he has held
since 2009.
His focus and pedagogical experience in higher education has been essentially in Communication Design, Graphics and Editorial
Design, Branding, Typography, Methodologies and Creative Processes in Design, Design Thinking, Web Design, Digital Art Laboratory,
Digital Image Editing, Advertising, Video Production and Editing, Multimedia, Audiovisuals, Creativity and Innovation.
For several years now, there has been a premise: "good ideas don't fall from the sky".
Tavares’ extensive market experience is a key asset, enriching the team with a profound understanding of the industry while
offering a valuable external perspective for evaluating and innovating communication practices. His external viewpoint guarantees
a clear understanding of the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence, which enables the team to effectively harness
these technologies to optimize outcomes and reshape both creative and operational processes. The integration of such technological
innovations into communication strategies leads to solutions that are not only more efficient and dynamic but also better
aligned with current market trends.
Additionally, his commitment to staying at the forefront of educational methodologies is evident through his participation
in training programs such as the "Professional Development Training Program on Demola Co-Creation Facilitation" and "Generative
Artificial Intelligence in Education." His research interests are centered on creativity, innovation, and education, as demonstrated
by his academic publications: "The Relevance and Pertinence of Creativity and Innovation in the Design of Creative Processes"
and "Genie of the Magic Lamp or Collaborative Genius? Reflection on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Teaching-Learning
Process in Communication Design."
