José Manuel Dias Escada has a Ph.D. in Physics (Area of Technologic Physics) concluded in 2012/12/17 at the Coimbra University. Taught in three Polytechnic and University Education Institutions. Published 44 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 8 conference papers. Participated/participates as researcher in 9 projects. Specialized in the development of gaseous detectors, especially developing Monte Carlo simulation codes to obtain some electron and ion parameters in some promising gas media of interest. Member of the Gaseous Detectors R&D group at LIP Coimbra and member of the NEXT Collaboration.
