Maria João Regufe completed your MsC in Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) in July 2014, after conclude the dissertation entitled by "Syngas purification using MIL-125-Ti(NH2)". After that, she integrated a project in the field of Multifunctional Reactors and Process Intensification, as researcher, in LSRE-LCM at FEUP during 9 months. In June 2015, she started her Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering at FEUP with a fellowship funded by FCT (PD/BD/105981/2014). She concluded Ph.D. with a thesis entitled by CO2 capture from flue gases by Electric Swing Adsorption" in July 2019. Until now, she has been increasing knowledge in processes design and modelling assisted by computational tools, materials synthesis, rheology, and characterization, to be applied in cyclic adsorption processes. Since December 2019, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the LSRE-LCM in an European Project: ¿Innovative Membrane Extraction of Lithium for Spent Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling, in cooperation with academia (University of Strasbourg, and Chalmers University of Technology), and industry (Euro Dieuze Industrie in France). These years of scientific path resulted in a publication of 2 chapter of book as first author, 14 peer-reviewed papers in top international journals, Q1/Q2 in Chemical Engineering area, several conference proceedings with oral communications and posters as presenter. She has developed other skills. She has five years of experience as Invited Assistant Professor at FEUP, in curricular units in Physics and Chemical Engineering laboratories. She is also responsible for training and supervision of students: currently she is supervisor of a Ph.D. student; she was co-supervisor of students of MSc dissertation. Furthermore, she received two distinctions: Award of "Engenheiro Cristiano Spratley" as best student of the Master in Chemical Engineering at FEUP in 2013/2014, and Award "Reconhecimento Pedagógico". Other activities which she is actively connected are the science promotion, with the participation in "Mostra UP", ¿Olimpiadas de Química¿, and "Semana Profissão Engenheiro", among others, which are events dedicated to the youngest people.
